ISU's latest commitment Clinton Mann is the final member of the 2008 class. Below is a quote from phog.net from a tourney between his sophomore and junior year and then a current quote from phog again and then yahoo sports.
"On the other side was Mann who is probably the most aggressive of the talented young big men. He attacks the basket, looks to dunk when possible and is already comfortable driving right or left to the hoop from between the free throw and three point lines. The

Iowa State receive a commitment from Justin Hamilton a 6' 10"senior from Lone Peak Utah. Here is the kicker, he was playing football, not basketball until he grew to his present height during his sophomore year. Last year he then played mostly JV, but had a huge summer prompting him to be called by some one of the top big 10 men in the West. What bothered Chizik is that the mistakes the Cyclones made against Northern Iowa were repeats of the miscues that cost them a win in his Aug. 30 debut against Kent State.
"What it boils down to is real simple," Chiz

A few changes can be found on Iowa State's latest two-deep. Sophomore Christopher Lyle, a 248-pound transfer from Butler (Kansas) Community College, is the new No. 2 weakside defensive end behind Rashawn Parker. Michael Bibbs, another juco product, shares the backup spot at strong linebacker after making three tackles against Kent State. With Caleb Berg injured, Steve Johnson is officially the starter at strong safety.
And J.J. Bass, who gained 133 yards in his ISU debut, has moved t
